"I must be a mermaid because I have no fear of depth and a great fear of shallow living"
- Anais Nin.
Wild by nature I take immense pleasure in non-conformity and keeping my roots intact. I believe in embracing the unique and innate beauty we each bring to the world. You may find me naked and barefoot at a hot spring enjoying the starlight or dressed up at a high end restaurant in heels pleasing my senses. I grew up near the ocean but every summer I would backpack for a month in the mountains to explore and experience simply being without manmade influence. Periodically l have to go back in nature to replenish my vitality. I yearn for experiences that nourish my soul and get my creativity flowing. The psychology and spiritual study of energy, intimacy, mindfulness and sexuality fascinate me; all that we can't see with the naked eye. I drip with empathy while having a gentle fierceness that can be intoxicating. I'm heavily into movement as a form of healing and the art of sensual connection. I can try to define myself for you to get a feel but honestly, I do my best communication with my body.
The system of living that we've inherited (otherwise known as the rat race) can easily make us feel confused, overwhelmed, and separate. It lacks a foundation of compassion and connection, whether it's with others or ourselves. Our connection with others is a huge part of our existence and feeling of fulfillment. Furthermore, our connection with ourselves can expand our connections with others. The self and others become an integrated dance of balancing energies. Through exploration of the self we can dive deeper in this human experience. We all hold different expressions of the same energy and with present-moment awareness we are able to ground into new sensations. Tantra is a yogic philosophy that's not attached to any religion or dogma; it welcomes all.
In the ancient tantras (yogic texts) tantra is revealed as a device for expanding.
Tan- propagate, elaborate, expand on.
Tra- save or protect.
In my eyes it is about acceptance of who we are and connecting back to our Dharma; remembering our essence.
I look forward to connecting
